We believe that theater and music can unite to educate and entertain.
We create musical theater that uses wit and truth to illuminate the most important issues facing our society. Theater should address the profound inequality in our nation and in the world. And humor is a powerful tool in the face of injustice.
Grassroots, collaborative art can save us from the abyss of commercialism that threatens to rob us of our souls and creativity. As performers, directors, and writers, we believe in the innate ability of human beings to reach their full potential. We provide opportunities for artists to join us in creating theater that poses a hope for a better world. We respect the labor of theater-the actors, directors, designers, and technicians who make it happen. We also respect the intelligence of audiences, who do not need to be spoon fed ideology.
Our current work, Walmartopia, looks at the effects of unbridled capitalism on the workers of the world's largest corporation and uses humor to poke fun at the powerful titans who shape our nation's destiny. It asks,"What if one corporation controlled the world?"
